The Tide is High!

This was our pier about half an hour before high tide yesterday!!  It should look like this, when the tide is out

but the water was level with the boardwalk by the time high tide hit! 

Then it started lashing at the promenade!  I hear talk of seaweed on the road, too!  Poor old George had to be content with a walk on the lead, I'm afraid, although was he bovvered?
